What questions should I be asking myself when developing my marketing strategy?
OR better yet, what questions would or do you have about how you should go about marketing your business?
Start with the basics:
Who is the audience that I am targeting with my marketing messages and collateral?
Once you’ve answered that question, ask yourself exactly how your business addresses a need or solves a problem for that audience. Then, tailor your message and collateral to communicate that.
Henry Ford is a great example for this: The world once thought that people needed faster and stronger horses. Ford knew that what people needed are not better horses, but really a better way to get around. Thus, he sold automobiles.
