What marketing strategy would you use if you wanted to attract senior investors? (i.e. events)?

I will receive my FA license soon and I have to start attracting potential clients. I was planning on hosting a bridge tournament providing information from the bank I will work with as well as my advisory services?
Any other ideas?

How about creating a free seminar with other professionals that offer services relevant to seniors?

- Long term care for seniors

The seminar should be a half-day. Have it catered at a nearby hotel. (Pick a high-end hotel, such as a Westin or Four Seasons. If you skimp on the hotel, you might as well as tell all of your prospective clients that you’re hard-up for cash.)

The seminar can include a free buffet breakfast. Offer a free gift for those who stay to the end. (The free gift can be a $100 coupon off of your regular fees.)
