Is being anti – gay a marketing strategy that is used by american churches and government?
I know the whole story about why they don’t like gays and condemn them etc etc. The concern I have is that so many churches in the States seem to put this as a number one priority on their agenda. Also the continuous bills regarding gay marriages seem to suit a certain political agenda.
Why is it such a big deal in the States? I can not wrap my head around it. Why on earth is gays the number one enemy of the state?

Imagine if they church keep bugging people about sex before marriage… there’d be NO followers left.

I think a lot of it has to do with their children too. A lot of people who think like that are older. They grew up in a generation where homosexuality wasn’t really accepted. Now that it is, they feel that they should protect their children from this. The thing is though, a person is going to like who they like.

i saw a picture of a church somewhere that actually had the slogan:”God hates fags” which is pretty ignorant to me apparantly its because the bible says they are evil so forth. Also its catholics who don’t allow any type of contraception (ie;the pill) however i believe they have relaxed the doctrine regarding condoms due to AIDS because there is a large catholic community in africa and they realised it is irresponsible to promote not using them in the face of the epidemic that is being faced by the african ppl.

Uh, gay people have it pretty good in the States. Everyone in West Hollywood seems pretty happy. Most corporations give benefits to partners. Enemy of the state? Dumb.
