I’m currently in managment but looking to obtain a role with direct reports for the experience. I don’t have a mentor and I really feel like I need one. I don’t know what I should or shouldn’t do to be considered. I know that I’m doing a good job because of the positive feedback I get. I just don’t know if its good enough to stand out.
Depends upon your organisation. Make your manager and HR aware of your career plans. Thats a start.
Could you speak with HR and manager, or mamnger of the bit you want to work in and just ask – what would i need to do to get such a position in next 12-24 months type thing. Our speak to a simialr organisation and find out ther policy on internal promotion and etc.
You say about experience – maybe you can get some of that without being a direct manager, consider that. Maybe you have those skills but from outside work.
The higher you go the more it is about personal networking, so develop your contacts and use them. Remember you may have those favours "called in" one day. If you really determined and really cant get any assistance or guidance get an external perosn in (careers advisor/life coach etc) and get them to help. Good Luck

Im mean this is what i want to do I have a great plan but in my advertisement i cant put that i played on the pga tour or am even a pga member but with the correct marketing couldn’t I achieve my goals?

As a PGA Member, myself…what makes you above, "going through the motions of becoming a member’? I teach, 12 Tour Pro’s…another 26, 4 handicappers or less, the rest are all under 8 handicaps. I’ve seen more than 1, Noted teacher, Ruin, a players game. I consult on design of clubs, putters, and shafts.

My father and I run a premire Lennox dealership. We’ve been in business since 1963, my grandpa started the company. We have a good reputation, were NATE certified. We get most of our new customers from recommendation. Is it good to mail a letter about our company with coupons on serivce a good idea?
Direct mail is one avenue but in this economy I would look at less expensive options. Since you have been in business for so long i am sure you have a large database of customers. If you have email addresses I would set up an email campaign (using the same materials you where going to send out in print). Do you have a web site? If not i would get one. If so I would launch a Pay Per Click campaign targeting key words that are relevant to your industry. If you need help with any of this let me know. Where is your service area?

Any ideas for marketing strategy in financing company?
Hey! I’m working in a financing for Motorcycle, in the marketing department. I’m new to this business so any ideas for marketing strategy or marketing program for financing companies??
You are doing what? The question is a little hard to understand. Are you working for a motorcycle finance company? And you are developing a marketing strategy? First, work on proper sentence structure. If we can’t understand what you are saying/asking, you will not have a job long.
Second, if you are hired for marketing, you should generally have an understanding of what you should look into so you can establish programs. Marketing are the "creative" people in the business world. Depending on what types of campaigns you are wanting to run, you come up with several different ideas, float them out to the public and see what they bite on.
If you are looking for a step by step guide on how to start marketing, you need to either go hit the books at school again, or work with people inside your company who have more experience. With finance companies there are a lot of legal issues you have to cover for marketing. The last thing you want is to dream up a perfect campaign that is illegal, misleading, or going to land your company in court.
I have some ideas, but in the marketing world, you never give an idea unless you get paid for it. If you’d like to hire me as a consultant, I would be more than happy to work with you.
