Are you very conscious and possessive about your identity , image and branding ?

whether on Y!A or other social networking forums , or at your workplace or with your friends do you care and nurture your image and identity and ensure that your branding is protected ? Or you just behave the way in which you want and enjoy life ?

no ,,,,,,i dont try to project any image of myself,,,or brand my-self ,,,,,,,or try to protect my brand,,,

my workplace guys and gals and my personal friends and even my mom and dad ,,,,,know me insideout,,,,,they know i tend to speak my mind,or as i see it ,,,,but they say ,you may sound rude sometimes,,,,but we like you the way you are,,,,,,

hence even if you or i attempt to project a brand of ourselves,,,,,,overtime the veneer will come crashing down,,,because people subconsiciously judge us and will sense the underlying signals which we tend to hide,,,,,

i just want to behave in a way appropriate to the situation,,,,,,and enjoy my stay on this earth,,,until i get coverted back in to the elements,,,,,

Is all Press Really Good Press?

Traditionally, public relations agencies have considered any press good publicity. However, in this day and age of new media, that standard has changed. Sam Ford of Peppercom calls the traditional viewpoint a major mistake.

In an interview with Abby Johnson at SXSW, Ford explains that communicators should think qualitatively in terms of what people are saying, instead of quantitatively. In addition, now as brands are getting more involved in social media, they need to realize that they might not like the feedback they receive.

If you are not ready to hear honest feedback, then maybe new media is not the place for you. Ford says, Engagement only works if youre prepared to engage on your side as much as youre expecting the audience to engage.

He also points out the harm in a brand over-promising its ability to engage if it cannot. Unfortunately, many Web 2.0 business models are built off of strategies for engaging the audience, but if the brand is not providing anything in return, it is essentially asking for unpaid labor to build its business.

Once a brand is involved and is ready to engage, Ford says it automatically thinks that the only way it can react to negativity is by responding. Instead of focusing on what to say next, Ford suggests that brands find solutions for the real problems. He said hearing is not listening.

If a brand wants to produce positive press, a brand should send a message that is additional material for the conversation the audience is already having. In the end, this will make the message spreadable.

Are you actively engaging your audience and truly listening?

How to produce professional quotation of web design with branding strategies project for my client?

I need to produce the impressive quotation so that my client is confident in me and they know it’s worth the money.

If you have your own web site, use design elements from it so there is obviously a connection.

Your personal stationery, starting with your logo, letterhead, envelope, business card etc must be the absolute best you can afford to produce. A quotation and invoice are no different. They are all part of your client-touching communications package.

Keep the design clean, simple and easy to read. Is this something you will be mailing or presenting in person? You might consider a brief laptop presentation of the quotation.

If you want to impress him, do it with content. Show that you understand the importance of setting goals for the site, identifying target audience(s) developing a detailed site map, building wireframes for major sections…and testing, testing, testing of navigation. This is Phase I.

Phase II is paper comps of basic design styles. Allow steps for at least two sets of revisions.

Phase III is actually creating the code.

You can break your fees up into three parts too, so you have some cash flow and he can pay as he goes.

If you need more help, email me.

Good luck.

What should I charge a client for a re branding of their identity?

I’m a freelance graphic designer. I mostly work with posters and flyers. A client has approached me to re brand their identity to include logos, fonts, colours etc.

Charge what you would normally charge for your "regular" work, if you charge by the hour. If you charge by the job, then you’ll have to assess how much work you’ll have to put in with your client’s project and weigh that against what you’d charge for a similar per-job project.
