branding

What does a diamond pattern branding on the body mean? Is it a gang branding?

I saw a hickey-like, diamond pattern branding on some guy’s back. It wasn’t a tattoo, obviously a branding . . . just wondering if it means something. DEAD center of the back, in between the shoulder blades . . .

DOUBT IT

Branding is a Powerful Marketing Tool

The upshot of branding is fairly self explanatory, but for those who are a little unsure, here is what you can do with branding. The first thing people think of when they hear the word brand or branding on the web is probably PDFs or eBooks which are hugely popular. I’m sure many of you have downloaded eBooks which have been branded or even offer to give you branding rights, and it’s a great way to spread your own brand or affiliate link to the web. By giving away branded eBooks either free or as an incentive to join your optin list or newsletter, is a very powerful viral marketing tool, and here’s why…

PDFs are just the tip of the iceberg;

You can also brand many software applications or scripts with your messages. In fact offering branding rights to software titles is a fantastic way to increase sales, why? Quite simply the incentive to the buyer is irrefutable. Think about software programs which serve a useful and especially time saving job. People always need solutions to cut down on their working day and spend more time with their families. And if you can come up with a unique or even novel way to save time then you’re on to a winner.

Finding software products to Brand

There are several companies that specialise in selling branding rights, you can buy individual branding rights for one product, or join one of the many membership sites like AX Gold or IM Buzz to brand multiple titles, and remember big software companies you may be familiar with have long since discovered the best solution to this problem. They buy software from third party developers, and then add their company name. If you want to go the whole hog and develop your own software then you can hire a software techie from the likes of sitepoint.com or check out the warrior forum, one word of caution, do not part with you cash until you have your product.

Searching for eBooks to Brand

If you’re looking for free eBooks to brand you shouldn’t have too much problem finding them, a great place to start is JVs or Joint Ventures, you only need to give your email address and then help yourself. Just make sure that they give a generous amount of links to brand, if you’re lucky the download will come with a brander application which is as easy as pie to use. Of course if you feel you have the writing skills to produce your own eBooks then that’s great. There are lots of programs out there to help you design and publish your eBook.

Here are some more ways to promote your branded products.
Ways to market brandable information

• Give them away as Free bonuses to get new subscribers

• Offer them to your current newsletter subscribers

• Offer them at your website as free content downloads

• Present them via a popup / pop under or pop over screen

• Submit them to free search engines

• Post them in forums & announcement directories

• Advertise them in eZine ads & pay per click campaigns

• Create your own special reports based on affiliate products

• Promote others eBooks & reports branded by you

• Base an article on a report linking it to the report signup page

• Let others give them away

• Use them in JV deals (Joint Ventures)

And it’s all possible because of branding!
By giving Free Reports away, you can dramatically build your email list and boost YOUR affiliate commissions. The more viral reports you use in your marketing, the more it will increase your opportunities! Another great incentive for you to pass along free viral reports is the fact that more and more people are becoming interested in knowing how to brand PDF files. They want to know how they can create their own viral marketing funnel by branding eBooks’ and reports, and are willing to dig out their wallets in the process.

Role of Branding in Interactive Media

Branding is an over used word clinging to our lives. But actually its implications are far beyond the corporate logos, punchlines, color scheme and theme song. Brands are also like humans – strong, weak, aggressive, fun loving, smart and any other characteristic which describes you or me.

With growing immense popularity of Internet, traditional medium has been replaced by this interactive form of media. Since differentiation is the winning mantra of any form of advertising, cyberspace marketing has definitely taken the hot seat. A variety of interactive features, immense scope of creativity, increasing hits by the users have made Internet medium a hot favorite among the marketers, as an advertising and branding tool. With boom of internet online branding has won credibility. Initially several companies raised eyebrows and questioned the relevance of brands in cyberspace. But soon the marketers realized the grave importance of branding in online medium, which can prove to be even more aggressive than the traditional forms of media. Being bombarded with similar products from several unknown providers, consumers simply rely on the strength of brands which possess a meaningful, clear and trusted values and attributes, helping them in making online purchase decisions. These brands occupy a significant place in their lives.

Internet offers several advantages, like advertisers can utilize its interactive nature to generate top-of-mind awareness among the customers. This medium generates instant impression and quick feedback. Dynamic nature easily grabs attention and induces action.

Online branding strategy is not a rocket science. If few things can be kept in mind one can easily strike an extraordinary branding.

Be innovative and unique

What gets the eyeballs glued, what strikes every mind and what easily grabs the attention is sheer innovative and striking branding. Keep every related factor in mind, specially likes and dislikes of your target group. Choose a name which is unique and easy to remember. An appealing logo always cherishes good brand recall and eventually turns into a global appeal.

Be consistent

Branding on web is equal to multiple activities, since the visitor is reached through several different channels. Since there are multiple exposure – message, approach, treatment should be coherent and consistent.

Keep taste and preference of target market in mind

Your entire branding exercise is done targeting a specific segment. Thus while communicating your message to your target group always keep in mind their tastes and preferences. Message should be clear, precise, informative and appealing.

Don’t scream who you are, say what you do

Branding is not just logo and a screaming brand name. Whether it’s home page of website or a banner ad, or an e-mailer do always state what you do. In a line state the benefit right off the bat. It can be a punch line. It should be your USP.

Make sure your brand is present where your target is going

If you are a baby soap marketer, make sure your brand is visible where the mothers of small babies are frequent visitors. Don’t miss this golden opportunity. They might not be looking for your product, but might end up showing purchase intention after seeing you there.

Internet is still an unexplored gold mine opportunity for several marketers. It offers a huge gulf of opportunities for the ones who wish to create a memorable brand identity.

Branding in interactive media can be described as an inspiration of people “to think or feel a certain way about a product in the hopes of inducing or increasing product purchase and loyalty.”

Cyberspace is still a wonderland to most of the marketers. Either they are too excited about it or too skeptical. But online branding is not different from the branding in any other forms of media. One has to go through the same strategies. One can also build an aggressive brand on the Internet and incur huge profits.

Cyberspace branding offers its advertisers great opportunity to fortify the brand affinity. Certain features should be kept in mind to ensure online branding success. These are – search engines, permission email, word of mouth, web traffic, affiliate networks etc.

Last but not the least online performance of brand needs to be measured and monitored from time to time. It is the only way to track progress and generate ideas for future branding exercises. Branding in interactive medium has a long way to go. It’s just the beginning!

“how to Format and Optimize your Branding Website”

While it is true that your squeeze page is critical to generating leads, it is also important to correctly set up and optimize your branding website. What exactly should you put on your branding website? What format should you use? Following are tips from an Internet marketing guru.

Branding Website Format:

The general format and layout of your branding website should resemble the format and layout of your sales letter. This means that the header, footer, and side lines in your sales letter should be used on your branding website as well. The header, footer, and side lines are a great way to enclose text. This layout gives a clean look that is easy on the eyes and loads quickly.

The most important feature on your branding website is the Opt-In box. This is so critical that is bears repeating. The most important feature on your branding website is the Opt-In box. The Opt-In box enables website visitors to sign up for your subscriber list. The Opt-In box should be placed on the far left hand side of the branding website. This is the area where eyes tend to go first when people come across your branding website. Having a visible Opt-In box provides an easy opportunity to subscribe to your list.

Your branding website should also include information about the products and services that you offer. For example, coaching, speaking, promoting, and product information should be presented. This allows the website visitor to become familiar with you and your products/services.

Make sure to also provide two free resources. Free resources demonstrate to visitors that you are not solely out for their money, but will offer them something free in the beginning of the relationship. Free resources can be anything you choose. Common examples include free articles, e-zines, and audios.

Don’t forget to have an “About You” section on your branding website. Provide your background, credentials, and even a photo. You may want to brand your face along with your products. Displaying a photo helps visitors to feel more comfortable with your products and services. They see the “face” behind the Internet business.

Also include testimonials and press releases on your branding website. Potential clients want to see your track record through testimonials. They also want to find out what your Internet business has been up to through the press releases.

Make sure that you provide contact information. Encourage website visitors to contact you if they questions or concerns. This way you are promoting an open, comfortable business relationship.

Branding Website Optimization:

Many Internet business entrepreneurs want to know how to optimize their branding site. Simple, you optimize it the same way you optimize your squeeze page. Remember, the goal is to have your squeeze page rank #1 in the search engines, while your branding website ranks #2. The key is to have search engine visitors see your name in the first few spots in the search engine results. This will help promote your image as the authority on that specific topic.

Cost Effective Ways For Web Branding

Web branding is the skill of taking your product or service and finding ways to provide an emotional connection with the consumer. However, web branding may actually serve a dual purpose.

Certainly you want the consumer to connect with your business. This is your first objective in web branding. However, you may find that working with a coalition of partners may work to help brand something much larger. The travel industry has learned that they can successfully brand their overall services and the positive outcome of one travel site ultimately provides a positive outcome for other travel sites.

In farming you have pork or beef producers, in energy you have electric cooperatives and on the web you may find common product promotion may assist you in web branding. The combination of marketing and cross-promotional ideas can ultimately prove beneficial to many.

In fact, the combined effort of web branding may be felt in the area of knowledge-based articles from suppliers. These articles help in the marketing structure of your business and, because they are made available from suppliers, they have both authority and the ability to provide web branding impressions.

In boxing you have the one-two punch. In web branding you have the cooperative efforts of many combined with the unique ideas of one. Learn to accept the help that you can and then creatively work to make what you’ve learned your own.

You potential customers should come to your website only half interested in your product or service and leave feeling as if there is no product or service that could rival yours. This is accomplished though web branding. This is a place where you become storyteller, salesman, advocate and problem solver. The more answers you have to the questions raised the better your web branding endeavors will perform.

Responding quickly to consumer questions or concerns will further brand your site as a good place to do business. No site will ever be entirely perfect, but the best sites will not leave their customers in the dark. Such commitment may be hard work and you may wonder if it’s worth it, especially at start-up. However, the longer your business is active and the greater customer support you provide the stronger the web branding becomes.

It’s possible you may have to work at web branding alone, but there may be a connected industry or coalition that you can involve yourself with that will strengthen your web branding ideas and further strengthen your position as an online entrepreneur.
