   Personally, I think it would be Psychology because you can take courses in Personality, Motivation and Emotion, Social Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, and (if your school offers it) Personality in the Workforce. All of those classes can help you figure out the best strategies to market your products to a large number of individuals, and how to influence or persuade them to buy a certain product.

   I will also vote for Psychology. Dorothy K’s answer was good, and I will just add that the most important skill you’d gain from Sociology (statistics and research methods) are things you’ll learn in Marketing anyway. So it just makes more sense to focus on Psych instead.

   The purpose of your minor if you are wanting an MBA is to get good grades! So do you like memorizing a bunch of psychology terms and theories that are more times than not confusing in name and different theories conflict. Or do you like to read sociological books where scientists look at problems and then make up a bunch of crap about why things are the way they are (kind of like the reverse of the scientific method)

   I personally like sociology far better than psychology. I get confused by the different names of stuff and would rather have things laid out simply and easily like in sociology. I also like making really good grades and to me sociology is far easier.
