It is ridiculous to read some of the comments people have posted here. Starbucks give customers what they want. Consumers obviously want their products that being the reason why they bring in billions of dollars in revenue every year. Starbucks is one of the few companies that offer health benefits and stock options to part time employees. Stop crying and do some useful with your lives. Don’t crying and complaining about true entrepreneurs that paid their dues and are now successful.

First time I heard of and ‘listened’ to Mr. Schultz. I believe in the goodness in him. Perhaps Starbucks should also look into the private companies who operate Starbucks in countries outside USA. In the Philippines, Starbucks is operated by the Tantoco family’s ‘Rustans’. The Tantoco’s have amassed their wealth by being ‘cronies’ of the Marcos’ Family, they were known smugglers, powerful & untouchable. Look into your partner account’s history & see who they are. ya and one thing you still did not learn from your parents is that you serve customers who are poor and cant afford your freaking 4 $ coffee…It would have been a great story if your coffee was focused on serving that same blue collar people….and the others…so your story really missed the point of service.
