Where can I find the best online marketing course?

I would like to find out who offers the best course on marketing, online.
I need information about internet Marketing courses, and who is the best regarding tips and tricks regarding Internet Marketing.

Here are some of the top guru’s I’m aware of – I have done business with them, and they all teach real stuff that works.

Remember: your income entirely depends on your efforts. The best info in the world has zero value if you don’t use it.

Derek Gehl (took over Corey Rudl’s business after his death)
Ken Evoy – has some great systems including a website in a kit type deal that has everything most people will need.
Dr. Ralph Wilson – great articles, good place to do a lot of basic starter learning
Mark Hendricks – one of the very first people to sell stuff on the internet, he’s plugged into the big time players and is always on the leading edge of "what’s next"
Perry Marshall – nobody knows Google Adwords better (and how to make it work
John Reese – one of the top 5 copywriters in the world. On copywriting, also read Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, Gary Halbert, Bob Bly.

There are others, check out this site for a list

Good luck,
Scott

Did you major in Advertising or Marketing?

Did you like it? Why did you choose Marketing instead of Advetising, or Advetrising instead of Marketing?
Was the degree useful in finding you a stable job that paid relatively well?
What do you like and not like about Marketing/Advertising?

I work for an advertising agency in London, and can tell you that having a degree (or the equivalent) in Marketing or Advertising is absolutely not essential. If you’re able to show a passion for advertising (through work experience, knowing the advertising marketplace) then that should be more than enough. A lot of people assume that having a qualification in either marketing or advertising will lead them easily to a job in it, whereas in reality, our company employs people with a wide range of skills. We have people with degrees in Chemistry, History, Politics and Accounting, among many others. My best advice would be to major in either, if you love doing them, but also make sure you go out and get the necessary work experience.

What are the marketing courses that i should take to be very good in marketing?

i just started college and i was wondering what are the marketing courses that i should take?

Honestly, just take what you need to get your degree. Your schooling is going to help you get a job, if that’s what you want. You are definitely going to learn from your classes, but from my experience you will learn far more from your own experiences.

What I’m saying is this:
Get your degree to help you get a job, but use the internet and get all the experience you can for you real "education". People coming straight out of school tend to be real green :)

That’s assuming you want a job, of course. I learned marketing and I began making my living from home using the internet. No more jobs, bosses, etc. for me. The freedom is wonderful, and the money is just as sweet!

What area should I start working on in Internet Marketing?

I am 24. I play guitars (advanced) and the piano. I am good at programming and puzzle solving. I am pretty much everything a perfect computer geek needs to be. I am planning to start off a company before which I will need to get a feel of how marketing works on the internet. I would like to create niche blogs but I don’t see where I should start and what topic would be ideal for me. Could you suggest a way for me to get things going.

Surely there are lots of ways on how to start internet marketing. You can start having your own free-hosted blog and write worthwhile contents that you know. You may start exchanging links with other bloggers and link partners. You may also do bookmarking and join internet marketing communities. Be able to know good ways to spread your blogs throughout the web.

What kind of jobs can you get with a Business Marketing degree?

What kind of jobs can you get with a Business Marketing degree? What is the average salary for employees who have this degree? What should I do to prepare myself for this career? And does Arizona have any good schools for this degree?

An interesting degree. Most likely, your coursework will consist of a Business Administration core with a Marketing concentration. Your core will include finance and accounting, while the concentration will focus on public relations, marketing analysis, maybe even some stats.

Business Marketing is fairly focused on the marketing aspects of business. This means that positions in management are probably shut off to you (unless it is a management track position in a sales division), and positions in finance are out of the picture.

The exact type of work you will do will depend upon your qualificiations. The more technical your background, the more will be opened to you. My wife, for instance, has a background in English (no business classes) and does web design and copywriting work. I have a strong background in economics and statistics, and I do modeling, forecasting and analysis of marketing data.

If you have a language-based background (writing, speaking, presentations), this will open different doors than one that is more technologically-focused (database analysis, programming, EViews, Excel, SAS, SQL, PeopleSoft). A blend of both would be awesome, but is hard to do.

Arizona’s two top-tier institutions – ASU and U of A – both have strong reputations in the Midwest and West, as well as very large alumni networks. Northern Arizona State – in Flagstaff – is a gorgeous campus but its academic reputation is not as strong.

An alternative option may be to major in the area that suits your interests most strongly – ie, Business Communication, Information Systems, Finance – and get an MBA to allow you to do more technical work. Remember that an MBA is preferred for even entry-level positions in business; it is easier to get a job with a bachelor’s in a highly technical or abstract field such as Computer Science, Math, Finance or Accounting.

Starting salaries depend upon the city, but will generally be around 110% of the average in a metropolitan area – $30,000 in the Midwest, $36,000 in California, etc. Of course, salary will increase with experience and expertise. Especially, a native or at least advanced fluency in a foreign language (particularly Spanish, Chinese, Japanese or French) will help boost this potential and provide you with international exposure.

What is it called when you apply branding to a video that someone else has uploaded?

I’m developing a site and one of the functionality elements is the ability for users to upload their own videos.

I’d like our developers to design it so that when a user uploads a video, it automatically brands that video with our logo in the bottom right through, and then also adds a screen at the end with our site details.

Is it possible to do this, and if so, can it be automated or does such branding need to be manually edited?

Finally, what is this technique/branding called?

water marker — or kicker

Which is the best advertising college/university for graduate studies in the Washington DC area?

I am planning to get a certificate or a master in Internet advertising and would like to know which would be the best option in the District of Columbia? Any tips? Any tips of web sites or magazines to look up?

Why do you use the word certificate and university in the same sentence?

Georgetown or George Washington.
